Smørebrød on the beach

This is a very simple version of a smørebrød. But on the beach with a beer there is nothing better.

• Rye bread

• Rygeost (smoked cheese)

• Wild thyme picked as we cycled to Flyvesandet Strand

My son has a particular method getting dressed with as little sand as possible in his pants. I like to take as much sand home in my sandals and be first to enjoy the smørebrød, or aptly named in cold sea, a shivery bite.
